USA – Fortis Solutions Group has finalized the acquisition of the Print Division of MASA Corporation, marking a significant expansion of Fortis’ presence in the printed packaging sector.
The acquisition encompasses MASA’s Print Division facilities situated in Norfolk, Virginia, and Decatur, Alabama, within the United States.
While the specific financial terms remain undisclosed, the move underscores Fortis’ strategic objectives of broadening its portfolio and geographical reach to better cater to its clientele.
MASA Corporation has garnered recognition for its comprehensive suite of services in custom labels, contract packaging, and packaging and equipment supplies.
Serving diverse industries including food and beverage, wine and spirits, personal care and cosmetics, as well as industrial sectors, MASA has established itself as a key player in the market.
Fortis Solutions Group’s decision to integrate MASA’s Print Division aligns with its commitment to strategic expansion.
With over 1,300 employees spread across 21 manufacturing sites, Fortis is dedicated to enhancing its product offerings and extending its geographic footprint to better serve its customer base. This acquisition exemplifies Fortis’ ongoing pursuit of growth opportunities within the industry.

Nefab acquires Plastiform
In another development, Sweden-based Nefab Group, through its US division Nefab Packaging, has completed the acquisition of Plastiform and its subsidiary Precision Formed Plastics, further bolstering its global market position and commitment to resource-saving supply chains.
Based in Texas, Precision is renowned for producing high-quality thermoformed plastic packaging, with a focus on high recycled content and cushion trays, among other thin-gauge solutions.
With a legacy spanning over five decades, Precision has been a trusted provider of sustainable packaging products to leading industry customers.
The acquisition of Precision by Nefab is part of the latter’s strategy to acquire companies specializing in thermoforming and sustainable packaging across the Americas and Europe in recent years.
Nefab Group President and CEO Per Öhagen emphasized the strategic importance of the acquisition, underscoring its ability to strengthen Nefab’s market presence in the Americas and support key segments such as Datacom and Cloud with thermoformed cushioning trays made from recycled plastics.
Following the acquisition, Nefab Group’s workforce will surpass 4,750 employees across 38 countries, with an annual turnover exceeding Skr10 billion (US$929m).
Öhagen expressed optimism about the acquisition’s potential to enhance Nefab’s ability to serve American and global customers with high-quality, sustainable packaging solutions, generating both financial and environmental savings.
