Arvind PD Composites expands global reach with new UAE facility

UAE – Arvind PD Composites, the joint venture between Arvind Ltd. and P-D Glasseiden GmbH Oschatz, is set to strengthen its global footprint with the inauguration of a new production facility in the United Arab Emirates in early February 2026, alongside ongoing capacity expansions in India.

Established in 2012, the company has emerged as a leading manufacturer of specialty glass fiber intermediates, serving high-performance technical textiles markets worldwide.

The UAE facility marks a historic milestone as the first manufacturer of non-crimp fabrics (NCF) in the country.

Strategically located in a globally connected hub, the plant will enhance supply reliability and responsiveness to high-growth markets, particularly in the USA, where demand for advanced composites is rising.

Equipped with sophisticated multiaxial and Maliwatt technologies, the plant is designed to produce complex, high-quality fabrics for sectors such as wind energy, marine engineering, construction, and automotive lightweighting.

While the UAE expansion extends the company’s international reach, India remains central to Arvind PD Composites’ production and innovation.

At the Gandhinagar campus, two new multiaxial machines have been commissioned, enhancing the versatility of the company’s portfolio and strengthening supply to demanding markets.

A second facility in Gandhinagar, soon to specialize in carbon fiber weaving, is also progressing rapidly, further cementing India as a hub for advanced engineered textiles.

Glass-fiber–based technical textiles are the backbone of modern engineered applications. Known for their stiffness, tensile strength, light weight, and resistance to temperature and chemicals, these materials are critical to wind turbine blades, automotive components, insulation systems, industrial machinery, and chemical processing environments.

Arvind PD Composites focuses on precisely configuring weave patterns, fabric weights, and finishes to ensure mechanical consistency and seamless integration into downstream manufacturing processes.
