The collaboration shows both companies’ commitment to sustainable practices in home cleaning.

USA – Clean Cult has partnered with Whole Foods Market to introduce eco-friendly packaging solutions in the home cleaning aisle.
The collaboration, launched in July 2025, brings Clean Cult’s innovative paper-based refill cartons and aluminum bottles to select Whole Foods stores, aligning with both companies’ commitment to sustainable practices.
Shoppers in the Northeast, Rocky Mountain, South Pacific, and Northern California regions can now find Clean Cult’s best-selling products.
These include Fresh Linen and Lavender Laundry Sheets, Juniper Sandalwood and Lavender Liquid Laundry Detergent Cartons, and Fresh Rain and Lemon Zest Dish Soaps.
These products are available in both ready-to-use aluminum bottles and recyclable paper-based refill cartons, designed to cut single-use plastic waste by 90%.
According to Clean Cult, their patented packaging offers a convenient, low-waste alternative to traditional plastic containers, making sustainable living accessible without compromising performance.
“We built Clean Cult to prove that responsible design and high performance can go hand in hand,” said Ryan Lupberger, CEO and co-founder of Clean Cult.
“Teaming up with Whole Foods Market helps bring that mission to more homes and makes plastic reduction an everyday habit without sacrifice.”
Whole Foods Market, a pioneer in eco-conscious retail, has a history of environmental leadership, having banned plastic checkout bags in 2008 and eliminated plastic straws in 2019.
To meet the retailer’s stringent standards, Clean Cult’s products underwent rigorous vetting for transparency, efficacy, and biodegradability, earning Green Seal Certification for sustainability and performance.
“I’m especially excited to launch Clean Cult because it brings something new to the household essentials aisle, convenient, low-waste design paired with clean, effective formulas,” said Ruby Rios, senior category merchant at Whole Foods Market.
“It’s the kind of packaging innovation and ingredient integrity we’re proud to put on our shelves.”
This launch follows Clean Cult’s earlier expansions into Costco and Target, reinforcing its role as a leader in low-waste home care.
A recent report highlights the growing eco-friendly packaging market, projected to reach US$423.56 billion by 2029, driven by consumer demand and stricter regulations.
Clean Cult’s partnership with Whole Foods underscores this trend, setting a new standard for sustainable retail.
In a statement, the company emphasized its commitment to challenging the cleaning industry’s reliance on single-use plastics, offering biodegradable ingredients and essential oils in beautifully designed, refillable products.
