UK – Eviosys, a prominent figure in the packaging industry, has introduced its Research and Development (R&D) Centre in Wantage, England, UK, offering an exclusive look into its state-of-the-art facility.

At the core of Eviosys’ R&D Centre lies a cutting-edge materials and component testing laboratory, underscoring the company’s commitment to maintaining superior customer service and scientific excellence within the metal packaging domain.

This establishment not only safeguards brand integrity but also plays a pivotal role in preserving product excellence.

The R&D Centre boasts a dedicated food processing area and a pilot manufacturing unit, empowering Eviosys to collaborate intimately with its clientele.

This collaboration aids in crafting products and solutions that address customer needs while expediting their journey to market.

By providing a space for refining products and processes, the center reinforces Eviosys’ dedication to leading the packaging industry.

Eviosys has gained recognition for its innovative products like Horizon, focused on curbing plastic usage, lightweight metal packaging with Ecopeel, and pioneering technologies promoting packaging diversity, such as Orbit.

Employing a proactive R&D approach, Eviosys identifies and tackles customer and consumer concerns, setting a benchmark for customer assistance and staying ahead of industry shifts.

In pursuit of its innovation objectives, Eviosys actively collaborates with trend agencies and customers to remain updated on both micro and macro consumer trends.

Meanwhile, in September, Eviosys invested €8 million (US$8.62m) to expand the production capacity of two-piece cans across three factories situated in Alcochete (Portugal), Murcia, and Ribadumia (Spain).

This substantial investment aims to fortify additional production, customized printing, and augmented logistics capabilities across these locations, catering to the escalating demand witnessed by Eviosys in the fish, meat, and pet food markets.

It also aligns with the mounting requirement for two-piece and EOE round and irregular cans in both aluminum and steel within the burgeoning fish, meat, and pet food sectors.

Notably, the fish market alone demonstrated a substantial upsurge in demand, marking a +3.8% increase in 2022[1], underscoring the necessity for a dependable, eco-conscious, and nearby packaging manufacturer.

Eviosys, working in close collaboration with partners in Spain and Portugal, has observed the rapid evolution of these vibrant markets in response to shifting consumer preferences.

As a frontrunner in the canned fish segment, Eviosys has proactively geared itself to enable businesses in these regions to fulfill their packaging requisites promptly, catering to end consumers’ needs.

To complement the factories’ heightened production capabilities, the investment extends to personalized printing and fortified logistical support.

This comprehensive approach ensures that Eviosys’ clientele can holistically scale up their product manufacturing and delivery processes.
