The combined entity will use complementary strengths to offer European pharma customers expanded services, from design support and technical expertise to supply chain solutions.

GREECE – Faller Packaging has agreed to acquire Paperpack, a Greek pharmaceutical packaging company with annual production of 600 million folding boxes and leaflets and exports to more than 40 countries, as the German group strengthens its presence in South-Eastern Europe.
The transaction, announced on 17 August 2026, extends Faller’s foothold in Europe by combining two companies operating in similar segments of the pharmaceutical packaging market.
Faller described the businesses as “highly complementary,” with Paperpack’s strong position in Greece and South-Eastern Europe complementing Faller’s broader capabilities, product portfolio and European network.
Paperpack produces approximately 600 million folding boxes and pharmaceutical leaflets annually, maintains 4,500 tonnes of paper and cartonboard stock, and operates 8,000m² of production facilities with direct and indirect exports accounting for more than 60 percent of its turnover.
Paperpack CEO: Acquisition Accelerates Next Phase of Growth
Paperpack CEO Dimitris Tsiftsis stated that the company is proud of what it has built over the years: a strong pharmaceutical packaging business based on quality, reliability and long-standing customer relationships.
He noted that in Faller Packaging, the company has found a strategic partner that shares its values and long-term vision.
Tsiftsis added that by combining Paperpack’s strong position in Greece and South-Eastern Europe with Faller’s broader capabilities and European network, there are significant opportunities to create additional value for customers and accelerate the next phase of growth.
He emphasised that Paperpack will continue to build on the qualities that have made it successful: customer focus, flexibility, reliability and operational excellence.
Faller CEO: Strengthening Presence in South-Eastern Europe
Faller Packaging CEO Dagmar Schmidt said the acquisition represents another important step in executing the group’s growth strategy.
She noted that by joining forces, the company strengthens its presence in South-Eastern Europe and expands its ability to support customers across the region, while reinforcing its commitment to being a trusted partner to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Paperpack has a history of more than 130 years and has been awarded a silver medal by EcoVadis and a World Star Packaging Award in 2021.
The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals, with both companies confident that the transaction will be completed in the coming months.
The combined entity will leverage complementary capabilities to offer expanded services to pharmaceutical customers across Europe, including enhanced design support, technical expertise and supply chain solutions.
