KENYA – Nexgen Packaging has announced the grand opening of its African headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, in the heart of the Export Processing Zone in Athi River.

This state-of-the-art facility is primed to produce and deliver a wide array of packaging products, including care labels, heat transfers, RFID tags, brand identification products, woven labels, and more, catering to the burgeoning demand for apparel, footwear, and home products made in Africa.

Jim Welch, CEO of Nexgen Packaging, expressed pride in the company’s pioneering status as the first global supplier in the industry to establish a presence in Kenya.

He emphasized how this investment aligns with Nexgen’s commitment to meeting its customers’ evolving needs while positioning the company at the forefront of the industry’s sustainable future.

The newly opened facility, boasting EDGE certifications for green building practices, signifies a significant milestone for Nexgen, highlighting its dedication to sustainable practices in building materials, products, and employee welfare.

Goutham Reddy, director of Best Lifestyle Kenya EPZ, hailed the establishment of Nexgen Packaging in Kenya as a transformative moment for the country’s garment sector, paving the way for increased investment and vertical integration within the industry.

Nexgen Kenya brings a comprehensive suite of capabilities and sustainable product offerings to the African market, complementing the company’s existing operations in Egypt and West Africa.
