The new laser technology, a world-first for bottle blowing, promises enhanced efficiency, quality, and simplicity.

GERMANY – Sidel Packaging Solutions, a global provider of equipment and services for food, beverage, home, and personal care packaging, is set to debut its innovative laser packaging technology at Drinktec 2025, held in Munich from September 15-19.
The event will showcase advanced solutions in PET, can, and glass packaging, focusing on sustainability and high-performance designs.
According to Sidel, it addresses key challenges in the packaging industry, particularly for food, beverage, and personal care producers.
Visitors will experience hands-on demonstrations of this technology, which aims to reduce material use while maintaining durability.

He emphasized that the laser innovation marks a significant shift, unlocking new possibilities for sustainable packaging.
Sidel’s exhibit will feature lightweight designs using 100% recycled PET, partial labels, and returnable lines compliant with the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
The company will also introduce its Next Line concept for PET and recycled PET (rPET), engineered for maximum performance with minimal resources.
Additionally, Sidel’s advancements in aseptic filling for sensitive products will be showcased, incorporating digital intelligence to enhance food safety, flexibility, and productivity.
Domino to launch N410 LED label press at Labelexpo Europe 2025
In Europe, Domino Printing Sciences has also announced plans to launch its new N410 LED label press at Labelexpo Europe 2025, taking place from September 16 to 19 at Fira Gran Via.
The event will feature live demonstrations of the N410 alongside the N730i and N610i digital label presses, as well as K600i and K300 monochrome inkjet printers, showcasing advancements in cost efficiency and sustainability.
According to David Ellen, divisional director at Domino, the event is a prime opportunity for label converters to explore cutting-edge printing and finishing technologies.
He noted that the company aims to present its expertise at booth 3E91. The N410 LED press, designed for converters entering the digital printing market, offers low running costs and flexibility, making it an accessible entry point for businesses.
Russell Weller, head of digital products at Domino, highlighted the environmental benefits of LED presses.
“They’re gaining popularity due to energy savings and reduced waste,” he said, adding that the N410 provides converters with a versatile solution backed by Domino’s global support network.
The press uses LED inks, which contribute to lower energy consumption compared to traditional methods.
The event will also mark the debut of the N730i Integration Module, paired with a Grafotronic DCL2 to form a hybrid printing and finishing system.
This setup includes priming, spot varnish, die cutting, and slitting stations, demonstrated at the Domino-Grafotronic Hybrid Arena (booth 3G85).
The module, built on Domino’s Generation 7 platform, achieves up to 1200 DPI at speeds of 295 feet per minute.
Additionally, Domino will release an updated Sunrise DFE workflow system, incorporating AI and machine learning to enhance press output efficiency.
