Fortune Pack strengthens printing capacity with Hontec FlexiCon350 flexo press

FlexiCon350 is designed to deliver high-quality label production, operational flexibility and enhanced productivity.

UAE – Hontec has installed its FlexiCon350 flexographic printing press at Fortune Pack Labels Industry in Dubai, strengthening the converter’s production capabilities as demand for high-quality and customized labels continues to grow across the Middle East and Africa.

The FlexiCon350 supplied to Fortune Pack is equipped with eight-colour printing units and two die-cutting stations, and is designed to deliver high print quality, operational flexibility and improved productivity.

According to Hontec, the press configuration enables converters to handle a wide range of label applications while maintaining consistent output and faster turnaround times.

The installation marks another milestone in Hontec’s expanding footprint in the Middle East label market, where converters are increasingly investing in advanced flexographic technology to serve FMCG, logistics, industrial and specialty packaging segments.

Fortune Pack, founded in 2021, has grown rapidly to become a recognized supplier of labels to FMCG, logistics and industrial customers in the UAE and neighbouring markets.

The investment aligns with the company’s strategy of scaling operations through technology adoption, allowing it to respond to customer demand for higher quality, shorter runs and customized label solutions.

The acquisition also reflects wider regional trends, as brand owners place greater emphasis on shelf impact, traceability and regulatory compliance, driving converters to upgrade printing and finishing capabilities.

Growing global adoption of Hontec flexo technology

The Dubai installation follows a series of recent Hontec press deployments worldwide. In October last year, Argentine label converter Capitolia expanded its production capacity with the installation of an eight-colour FlexiCon350 flexographic press featuring an integrated gravure unit.

Designed for thermal transfer label production, the hybrid configuration combines the colour accuracy and efficiency of flexography with the higher ink density and coverage associated with gravure printing.

This setup allows Capitolia to produce visually rich labels across a broad range of substrates, serving customers in food, beverage, cosmetics and industrial markets.

The Capitolia installation was completed by the company’s in-house engineering team, led by technical manager Richard, ensuring a smooth and efficient start-up.

Hontec highlighted the project as an example of how experienced converters can independently manage the installation of advanced press technologies.

Similarly, Fortune Pack’s decision to acquire a Hontec-350 press at Labelexpo Europe 2025 underscores its commitment to continuous improvement and long-term competitiveness.

The investment positions the company to increase output, expand its application portfolio and meet evolving customer requirements in a region where label demand is being driven by population growth, retail expansion and stricter packaging standards.

As converters in both emerging and mature markets continue to prioritize flexibility, print quality and productivity, Hontec’s FlexiCon platform is gaining traction as a solution capable of supporting growth in increasingly competitive label sectors.
