IRELAND – Amcor has been selected to supply rigid bottles and flexible tubes for Fragrances of Ireland’s expansion of its Inis The Energy of the Sea brand into the haircare segment, reinforcing the packaging supplier’s position in premium personal care applications.
The new Inis haircare line includes a shampoo, conditioner and spray, extending a brand traditionally associated with body care products inspired by the North Atlantic.
Inis formulations are known for incorporating ingredients such as seaweed extracts and sea minerals, and the packaging was designed to reflect the range’s established coastal identity.
Crilly & Wardell Design Consultants developed the visual design for the haircare range, with a brief to ensure consistency with existing Inis products while adapting the format for haircare use.
Amcor was responsible for manufacturing and decorating all three pack types, delivering a coordinated packaging family across different materials and formats.
The line comprises a 150ml bottle with pump, a 300ml bottle and a 250ml flexible tube. Amcor worked to ensure colour consistency across multiple substrates, including HDPE for bottles and sprays, an HDPE/LLDPE blend for the tube, and polypropylene closures.
The packaging also features silver foil decoration on the Inis logo, contributing to a premium shelf appearance.
According to Fragrances of Ireland, managing production across multiple pack types through a single supplier helped ensure uniform quality and timely delivery ahead of the product launch.
Both bottles are described as lightweight and durable, aligning with industry-wide efforts to reduce material usage without compromising functionality.
Joe Horton, regional sales director for Amcor International Rigid Packaging Solutions, said the project demonstrated Amcor’s ability to deliver consistency across diverse materials and formats while maintaining brand differentiation.
Paper-based chocolate packaging

Separately, Amcor has partnered with French organic chocolate producer Alter Eco to introduce recyclable paper-based packaging for its 200g chocolate bars in France.
The project replaces a previous cardboard-and-aluminium structure with a single wrapper made from AmFiber Performance Paper.
The new design, developed in collaboration with Swiss co-packer HALBA, provides barrier protection against moisture and grease while reducing packaging weight by up to 61%.
The wrapper uses FSC-certified fibre and is designed for recycling via France’s paper waste stream, meeting CEPI and 4evergreen guidelines.
Amcor reported net income attributable to shareholders of US$177m for the quarter ending 31 December 2025, compared with US$163m a year earlier.
Quarterly net sales rose to US$5.4bn, driven largely by the acquisition of Berry, while adjusted EBITDA reached US$826m.
For the first half of fiscal 2026, Amcor posted net sales of US$11.19bn and net income of US$439m.
The company has reaffirmed full-year guidance, forecasting adjusted earnings per share of US$4–US$4.15 and free cash flow of US$1.8bn–$1.9bn.
