Flexcon appoints new COO to drive operational efficiency

The new COO brings 25 years of operational leadership experience to the role.

USA – Flexcon, a leading provider of reusable packaging solutions, has named Morgan Ebin as its new chief operations officer.

Ebin steps into the role with over 25 years of hands-on experience in operational management. His most recent position was as COO at 44 Maple Group, the parent organization of Flexcon.

Before that, he served in senior roles at Arlon, including as chief manufacturing officer.

There, he managed areas such as manufacturing, supply chain, environmental health and safety, quality control, engineering, and maintenance.

This move comes at a time when the sustainable packaging sector faces growing demands for streamlined operations amid global supply chain pressures.

Flexcon’s reusable containers and dunnage systems support industries like automotive and food, where reducing plastic waste through durable alternatives is key.

Ebin’s background in optimizing processes positions him to guide enhancements in production and distribution, ensuring the company meets client needs for reliable, eco-friendly options.

Nick Tucci, Flexcon’s CEO, highlighted the significance of the hire. He stated that Ebin’s operational knowledge and teamwork style would aid in process improvements and a focus on ongoing enhancements.

The goal, Tucci noted, centers on delivering better outcomes for customers and partners.

In his comments, Ebin expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity. He said he looks forward to engaging with the team to grasp customer requirements and implement targeted upgrades.

According to Ebin, efforts will target efficiency gains, suitable global process expansions, and consistent solution delivery.

He emphasized blending strong operations with client priorities to support steady expansion.

Ebin’s expertise extends to safety and quality protocols, critical for reusable packaging that must withstand repeated use without environmental harm.

Flexcon operates facilities across North America, serving a client base that includes major manufacturers aiming to lower their carbon footprint.

Under Ebin’s oversight, the company plans to refine supply chain logistics, potentially reducing transport emissions through optimized routing.

Flexcon’s strategy includes investing US$10 million over the next two years in automation for its reusable systems, aiming to boost throughput by 20%. Ebin’s role will oversee this rollout, ensuring seamless integration.
