Pakka appoints 35-year veteran Mayank Jindal as India business head to drive global expansion

Under Jindal’s leadership, Pakka aims to expand production capacity, optimize supply chains, and strengthen customer relationships across key export markets.

INDIA – Pakka Limited, a pioneer in regenerative packaging, has appointed Mayank Jindal as its India Business Head, bringing 35 years of pulp and paper industry experience to steer the company’s operational scale-up and support its goal of achieving global leadership in regenerative packaging within five years.

Jindal’s extensive career spans various leadership roles across the global pulp and paper industry, equipping him to enhance Pakka’s operations to meet rising international demand.

According to Jindal, joining Pakka is a “natural next step” after working extensively in India and Southeast Asia, emphasizing the potential to produce sustainable packaging solutions that foster a cleaner environment while achieving global impact.

A Strategic Appointment for Global Ambitions

Group Lead Ved Krishna highlighted Jindal’s hiring as pivotal to Pakka’s growth ambitions, underlining the company’s goal to establish itself as a leader in regenerative packaging worldwide.

The appointment signals Pakka’s intent to scale beyond its current footprint, leveraging Jindal’s deep industry relationships and operational expertise across multiple markets.

Pakka Limited, formerly known as Yash Pakka, has built its reputation on compostable, bagasse-based packaging solutions that serve as alternatives to single-use plastics. Bagasse, the fibrous residue left after extracting juice from sugarcane, is a renewable agricultural byproduct that would otherwise be burned or discarded.

Pakka’s manufacturing process transforms this waste material into molded fiber packaging for food service applications, including bowls, plates, clamshells, and trays.

Scaling for Global Demand

With growing global restrictions on single-use plastics and expanding markets for compostable packaging, Pakka has positioned itself to capture export opportunities across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Jindal’s experience in the pulp and paper sector, an industry facing similar sustainability transitions, provides relevant expertise for scaling fiber-based packaging production while maintaining quality, consistency, and cost competitiveness.

The company’s infrastructure already supports these ambitions, with manufacturing facilities capable of producing bagasse-based packaging at commercial scale.

Under Jindal’s leadership, Pakka aims to expand production capacity, optimize supply chains, and strengthen customer relationships across key export markets.

The Bottom Line

Jindal’s 35-year track record across India and Southeast Asia positions him to navigate the complexities of scaling sustainable packaging while maintaining the environmental credentials that define Pakka’s brand.

As the five-year countdown to global leadership begins, all eyes will be on how this veteran translates experience into expansion.
