The new crane will help Paklog manage loads more efficiently and maintain safe handling practices.

EUROPE – Croatian packaging company Paklog has installed a Konecranes X-series crane at its Zagreb facility.
The order, placed in May 2025, marks the company’s first crane installation, aimed at improving efficiency in handling wooden transport packaging for sea, air, land, and rail transport.
The new crane, with a five-tonne load capacity, features a 7.5-meter span, a 5.5-meter lifting height, and a 43-meter runway length.
It is mounted on a runway structure supported by the facility’s existing concrete pillars, optimizing space and installation costs.
According to Paklog’s managing director, Kristina Kleković, the decision to partner with Konecranes was driven by their extensive experience and global reputation in material handling.
She expressed confidence that the crane would enable safer and more efficient handling of customer goods, fostering future collaborations.
Equipped with advanced technology, the X-series crane includes radio control with an integrated display and stepless buttons for precise remote operation.
It also features safety lights for better visibility and a stepless inverter for accurate load positioning.
Smart features like hook centering, snag prevention, sway control, and a “follow me” function enhance operational safety and efficiency.
Wireless components monitor the crane’s condition, simplifying maintenance and reducing downtime.
Živko Kajić from Konecranes’ industrial equipment sales highlighted that the crane’s features are tailored to meet Paklog’s operational needs, ensuring greater accuracy and safety in handling goods.
The installation is expected to streamline Paklog’s processes, supporting its growth in the competitive Croatian market.
In related news, Konecranes has been expanding its presence in sustainable material handling solutions.
A report by a leading industry source noted that Konecranes recently supplied a similar X-series crane to Peikko’s new facility in Ukraine, set to begin operations in April 2025.
This crane, also equipped with smart features, supports Peikko’s production of concrete connections, demonstrating Konecranes’ commitment to advancing industrial efficiency across Europe.
The global crane market, valued at US$42.64 billion in 2025, is projected to grow at a 6.26% annual rate through 2033, driven by demand for automation in logistics and infrastructure.
Paklog’s investment in the X-series crane positions it to meet rising demand for sustainable packaging solutions while maintaining high safety and efficiency standards.
The company anticipates this upgrade will enhance throughput and support its expansion goals in the region.
