The acquisition is intended to strengthen PPC Flex’s role as a packaging supplier.

USA – Flexible packaging manufacturer PPC Flex has expanded its North American footprint with the acquisition of SÜDPACK’s US operations, including its Oak Creek, Wisconsin facility.
While financial terms remain undisclosed, the deal marks a significant step in PPC Flex’s strategic plan to broaden its technical capabilities and enhance service to consumer goods and healthcare markets.
The Oak Creek site is strategically located near major US meat and cheese processing hubs, making it a valuable addition to PPC Flex’s network.
The facility brings advanced flexographic printing, conversion, and cold seal technologies, capabilities that PPC Flex plans to leverage to develop high-performance packaging solutions for speciality proteins, processed meats, dairy, and other food segments with rigorous shelf-life and safety requirements.
PPC Flex CEO Kevin Keneally welcomed the acquisition, saying it will expand the company’s innovation capacity and accelerate responsiveness.
“We are thrilled to welcome the SÜDPACK US team into the PPC Flex family. This acquisition brings us expanded technical capabilities and capacity that will allow us to deliver even more innovative and sustainable solutions across our broad customer base,” he said.
SÜDPACK Group CEO Thorsten Seehars said the company is confident PPC Flex is the right long-term steward for its US operations.
“Their strategic vision, innovative strength, and commitment to long-term growth give us full confidence that our facilities and our team are in excellent hands,” he noted.
Seehars added that PPC Flex’s extensive converting footprint positions it as a continuing strategic partner for SÜDPACK in the United States.
The acquisition is expected to support PPC Flex’s growing customer base across protein, snack, and confectionery categories, particularly through enhanced cold seal capabilities, an increasingly essential technology for high-speed food packaging lines.
The company also expects the expanded footprint to reduce lead times and improve supply chain agility for its North American clients.
The move comes as SÜDPACK continues to strengthen its healthcare-focused portfolio globally. Recently, SÜDPACK Medica launched MedHub, a streamlined service enabling customers to order pre-manufactured medical packaging pouches via phone, email, or online platforms.
Manufactured in ISO-certified cleanrooms and maintained in continuous stock, MedHub products cater to the growing need for compliant, sterile, and ready-to-ship packaging components across pharmaceutical and medical device supply chains.
SÜDPACK’s Coulmer, France facility has been optimized to support rapid order processing and just-in-time dispatch, helping healthcare manufacturers respond to fluctuating demand and increasing regulatory scrutiny.
With the integration of SÜDPACK’s US operations, PPC Flex strengthens its position as a key supplier in flexible packaging while expanding its technology pipeline and market access for high-growth food and healthcare segments.
