ProAmpac commits to science-based net-zero emission targets

USA – ProAmpac, a leader in flexible packaging based in the USA, has committed to reaching net-zero emissions by 2050 through the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

This move aligns ProAmpac with a global framework dedicated to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in line with the latest climate science.

Within the next two years, ProAmpac will establish and submit targets to the SBTi for validation, marking a concrete step in its commitment to sustainable growth and its ambition to transform the packaging industry.

The company’s sustainability strategy focuses on developing eco-friendly packaging solutions that minimize environmental impact.

ProAmpac’s recognition with an EcoVadis Bronze Medal further underscores its efforts in advancing sustainability initiatives. It highlights the company’s focus on reducing waste and supporting a circular economy.

Greg Tucker, ProAmpac’s founder, vice-chair, and CEO, noted, “These accomplishments reflect ProAmpac’s dedication to empowering our customers in their sustainability efforts,” reinforcing its mission to align its packaging with the values of eco-conscious consumers.

At PACK EXPO International in Chicago, ProAmpac will present its latest sustainable offerings, including the Moisture Protect series from the ProActive Intelligence portfolio, which addresses moisture control without the use of desiccants.

This product demonstrates ProAmpac’s ongoing commitment to innovation and reducing single-use materials in packaging solutions.
