SIG debuts DomeMini sustainable carton bottle in Thailand with Ampol Food’s V-FIT drink

DomeMini is crafted primarily from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified paperboard and produced using 100% renewable electricity.

THAILAND – SIG Group, a leading systems and solutions provider for aseptic packaging, has introduced its DomeMini carton bottle to the Thai market through a collaboration with Ampol Food.

The innovative packaging format debuts with the launch of Ampol Food’s V-FIT rice-based nutritional drink, reflecting a growing demand for sustainable, on-the-go beverage solutions in Thailand.

Designed to combine the portability of a plastic bottle with the environmental benefits of a carton, DomeMini is crafted primarily from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified paperboard and produced using 100% renewable electricity.

Its compact, lightweight structure is engineered to reduce environmental impact, offering a viable alternative to single-use plastic bottles.

The DomeMini carton bottle features a reclosable cap positioned at the centre of the top panel, making it convenient for direct consumption and ideal for active lifestyles.

This functionality, paired with its sleek and distinctive design, gives the product a strong visual presence on retail shelves, a key factor in attracting health-conscious and eco-aware consumers.

Ampol Food’s Managing Director, Kriangsak Theppadungporn, praised the partnership, saying, “We are leading the way, not only when it comes to innovation in our products but also in setting the trend for packaging solutions.

“Choosing the SIG DomeMini is a bold step toward sustainable on-the-go packaging in Thailand. We’re empowering our consumers to make eco-conscious choices without compromising on convenience.”

Supporting the rollout is SIG’s DomeMini 12 Aseptic filling system, which can process up to 12,000 packs per hour across various volumes from 180ml to 350ml, all on a single line.

A volume changeover can be achieved in just 15 minutes, offering operational flexibility and helping manufacturers meet evolving market demands efficiently.

Vatcharapong Ungsrisawasdi, Market Head for SIG Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar, commented, “The DomeMini solution enters Thailand at a time when demand for portable and sustainable beverage packaging is surging.

“Its low plastic-to-product ratio and support for ‘paperization’ reflect our commitment to reducing plastic dependency. Our partnership with Ampol Food sets a new standard for responsible consumption in the region.”

With the launch of DomeMini in Thailand, SIG continues to position itself at the forefront of sustainable packaging innovation, supporting regional beverage producers in aligning with both consumer preferences and environmental goals.
