INDIA – Syntegon Technology, a leading German multinational in food packaging machinery, highlighted its latest advancements at PackEx India, demonstrating its commitment to packaging innovation and sustainability.
Nilesh Vedak, Managing Director of Syntegon Technology India, emphasized the company’s focus on meeting the evolving market demands with cutting-edge solutions.
“We are showcasing several new developments,” Vedak said, introducing a new horizontal machine for the bakery and biscuit sector, equipped with advanced loaders and vibratory systems to improve automation and packaging speed.
Syntegon presented a high-speed snack bag maker in the snack segment, designed to outperform competitors while supporting sustainable packaging solutions, such as paper-based materials.
Among the showcased machines, the SVL 2310 Twin stood out for its vertical bagging capabilities, specifically for potato chips, while the Pack 301 LS with Smart Duplex Measuring Loader (SDML) efficiently handled horizontal flow wrapping of biscuits, cookies, and crackers.
The Pack 201 HS horizontal flow wrapper also includes a paper-ON-form retrofit kit, allowing manufacturers to switch seamlessly between paper-based and plastic film on the same machine.
Vedak addressed the challenges faced by Indian food manufacturers, such as handling large product volumes in a price-sensitive market.
“Indian manufacturers need solutions that are both efficient and economical,” he explained. Syntegon meets these needs by offering end-to-end solutions, from product handling to end-of-line packaging, improving overall productivity while enhancing packaging aesthetics.
Beyond offering equipment, Syntegon prioritizes customer support, ensuring companies achieve optimal performance through customization and continuous service.
Vedak stressed the importance of quality and reliability in a market often dominated by cost-driven competitors.
“We distinguish ourselves by adding value through customization and ongoing support, helping customers achieve a strong return on investment,” he said.
Sustainability is central to Syntegon’s innovation strategy. The company aims to reduce capital expenditures (CapEx) and operational expenses (OpEx) while increasing efficiency and minimizing environmental impact.
Vedak highlighted the company’s dedicated research team, which is focused on anticipating future sustainability trends and preparing customers for upcoming changes.
Looking ahead, Syntegon is developing machines for high-performance food factories in India, focusing on secondary packaging, case packing, and product distribution systems.
The company is also exploring the integration of robotics and AI to meet the growing demand for automation. “These areas hold exciting potential for the industry,” Vedak added.
With a clear vision for continuous innovation and sustainability, Syntegon remains a leader in the packaging industry, ready to meet future challenges.
