The new HP Indigo 200K will double Cwl’s capacity, handling both long and short-run custom orders.

AUSTRALIA – Cwl Group has been honored with HP’s Global Award for Top Flexible Packaging Strategic Account, recognizing its outstanding performance, innovation, and leadership in digital flexible packaging.
The accolade highlights the company’s technical excellence, customer focus, and continued partnership with HP Industrial Print.
Alongside the recognition, Cwl Group has announced the installation of its second HP Indigo digital flexible packaging press, the HP Indigo 200K, underscoring its commitment to accelerating digital transformation and expanding production capacity.
“As the company advances its business, the proportion of small orders continues to rise,” said Frank Jia, deputy general manager of Cwl Group and general manager of its digital business division.
“Producing with traditional equipment not only incurs high costs but also results in low efficiency, which becomes a bottleneck restricting development. Digital printing provides the flexibility and speed needed to overcome these challenges.”
A global supplier of high-quality coffee packaging, Cwl Group exports to more than 70 countries and regions.
Its products demand exceptional color accuracy and consistency, while brand owners increasingly seek multi-version, customized packaging.
To meet this dual demand for precision and personalization, the company began exploring digital printing nearly eight years ago, testing technologies and visiting HP’s Demonstration Center in Guangzhou before installing its first HP Indigo 25K in April 2022.
The HP Indigo 25K became a cornerstone of the company’s digital transition, enabling short-run production, fast delivery cycles, and high-quality customization.
With its success, Cwl Group began building an in-house digital printing technical team to enhance expertise and customer responsiveness further.
Now, with the new HP Indigo 200K, the company plans to double its production capacity and strengthen its ability to deliver both large-batch standard and small-batch custom flexible packaging.
The new press offers enhanced automation, reduced labor and energy consumption, and 40% faster delivery cycles, achieving “same-day confirmation, next-day production” for spot color orders through advanced cloud connectivity and intelligent quality assurance.
“The HP Indigo 200K allows us to respond faster to customer needs while maintaining exceptional quality and sustainability,” Jia added.
Scheduled to begin production in December 2025, the new investment positions Cwl Group at the forefront of digital packaging innovation, further aligning with global trends toward on-demand, sustainable, and high-value packaging solutions.
