GERMANY – GERMANY – British packaging company Mondi will showcase its latest sustainable packaging and paper solutions at the touchpoint packaging (tpp) forum at drupa 2024 (Hall 3, Stand B31).

Highlighting its PERGRAPHICA, IQ GRASS+ Packaging, and IQ Board brands, Mondi aims to address sustainability issues such as deinkability, recyclability, cradle-to-cradle certification, and consumer trends.

Mondi will present prototypes of luxury perfume packaging developed in collaboration with the NABA Academy of Fine Arts in Milan.

These prototypes will demonstrate various finishing options and sustainability efforts in the paper segment.

Mondi’s PERGRAPHICA brand offers a broad color palette, including three shades of white with rough or smooth textures, Infinite Black, and 31 distinctive colors, making it ideal for luxury packaging.

IQ GRASS+ Packaging, made from FSC-certified fresh fiber pulp and up to 30% grass fibers, offers high tear resistance and a natural appearance due to its visible grass fibers.

IQ Board is an uncoated virgin fiber premium paper optimized for seamless printing, filling, and finishing processing. It is suitable for striking packaging designs.

These papers provide an intense haptic experience highly sought after in the premium packaging segment.

Produced in Austria with wood sourced from sustainably managed forests, Mondi’s premium papers meet stringent requirements for Cradle to Cradle Certified®, the EU Ecolabel, and FSC.

“Through our diverse portfolio of sustainable and certified paper products, we help our customers successfully build their print businesses in a volatile market,” says Bernhard Cantzler, Marketing and Sales Director at Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper.

Mondi will focus on two of tpp’s five key areas: Neo-Ecology/Sustainability and Consumer’s Mind.

Topics will include reusing packaging, packaging as a service, food packaging barriers, reusability and recycling of post-industrial and post-consumer recycled materials, and the seamless, transparent, and sustainable value chain.

Additional subjects will cover the opportunities and limits of papermaking, re-commerce, consumer-to-manufacturer (C2M) and zero waste, individualization, increased mobility, inclusive and diverse thinking, the silver-age society, security needs in times of crisis, reduced financial strength, urban living, and new work models.

Mondi’s collaboration with the NABA Academy of Fine Arts will be a highlight. It will feature luxury packaging designs for perfume bottles made from PERGRAPHICA papers. Additionally, Mondi will showcase laser engraving techniques on paper packaging samples.

Visitors to drupa 2024 are invited to experience Mondi’s innovative and sustainable packaging solutions firsthand at the tpp forum, a platform for experts and brand owners across the packaging value chain to share ideas, network, and collaborate.
