The appointments reflect growing demand for locally available technical support across the region.

ASIA – Label and packaging equipment manufacturer Mark Andy has strengthened its presence in Asia with the appointment of a new regional sales manager and the addition of two service engineers, as it responds to rising demand and a growing installed base across key Asian markets.
The company has appointed Tham Zee Cheng as regional sales manager for Asia. In this role, she will be responsible for driving press sales and deepening collaboration with customers and partners across China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia.
Her remit also includes managing distribution networks and building long-term relationships with key regional accounts.
Tham brings more than a decade of experience in the technology and industrial sectors, including the packaging and label industries.
Mark Andy said her background positions her well to support converters navigating increasingly complex production requirements, tighter turnaround times and growing expectations around efficiency and service support.
Alongside the sales appointment, Mark Andy has expanded its regional service organization with the addition of two experienced engineers.
Teh Chiau Khuang joins the team with more than seven years of experience as an electronics engineer specializing in the installation, commissioning and servicing of printing presses.
He is joined by Budi Dermawan, a service engineer with extensive hands-on experience in both mechanical and electrical servicing of printing equipment.
According to the company, the strengthened service team will enhance its ability to provide faster response times, improved technical support and more competitive service conditions across the region.
Commenting on the appointments, Tom Cavalco, vice president of international sales at Mark Andy, said Asia remains a strategically important market for the company.
“We are very pleased to welcome three experienced professionals to our team, strengthening both our sales and service organizations in Asia,” he said.
“By further developing our local teams, we can respond more quickly to customer needs, provide more efficient technical support and offer competitive service conditions.”
The move reflects a broader trend among global press manufacturers to invest in local sales and service capabilities in Asia, where demand for labels and flexible packaging continues to grow, driven by expanding consumer markets, e-commerce and brand owners’ increasing focus on quality and productivity.
Mark Andy said the appointments are also a response to the continued expansion of its installed base across the region, which is driving greater demand for locally available technical expertise to minimize downtime and support converters in maximizing the performance of their equipment.
