AUSTRALIA – Mother of Pearl Vodka, an award-winning Australian drink brand, has announced an ambitious step towards sustainability by investing in Australia’s first paper bottle machine from Frugalpac.
This move aims to assist wines and spirits brands in Australasia and South-east Asia in significantly reducing the carbon footprint of their packaging by up to 84%.
Utilizing Frugal Bottles, which are composed of 94% recycled cardboard, offers a revolutionary solution.
These paper bottles are not only five times lighter but also possess a carbon footprint six times lower than traditional glass bottles.

Co-founders Nic Hancock and Nicola Thompson Hancock are passionate about extending the opportunity for sustainable packaging to other wine and spirit brands in the region.
