USA – PAC Worldwide, a leader in customized packaging solutions, has introduced its Polyjacket mailers, crafted from 100% recycled content to support eco-conscious shipping practices.
Available in two varieties—100% post-consumer and 100% post-industrial recycled content—these mailers were unveiled at PACK EXPO in Chicago, aligning with the environmental goals of major sustainable brands.
The new Polyjacket mailers retain the durability and quality of standard PAC polymailers, with added features like custom printing options and a dual ‘peel-n-seal’ closure for enhanced functionality.
This launch further expands PAC’s sustainable portfolio, which includes mailers with recycled content ranging from 50% to 100%.
Other eco-friendly options include PAC’s Airjacket bubble mailers and WicketPAC wicketed polymailers, each featuring 50% recycled content.
PAC also offers paper-based solutions, such as the Ecojacket Flex, a kerbside-recyclable padded mailer rated “Optimally Recyclable” by How2Recycle, and the new Ecojacket Max, providing shippers with an extensive range of environmentally responsible packaging choices.
“There is more than one way to think about—and build—a more sustainable future,” said PAC Worldwide President Thomas Parenteau.
“These innovative products demonstrate PAC’s commitment to making all flexible packaging recyclable, reusable, or compostable by 2025. I’m proud to say we’re well on our way.”
In July, PAC earned certification from SCS Global Services for the recycled content in its polymailers, reinforcing the company’s dedication to sustainability and offering e-commerce companies verified options to meet consumer demands for environmentally sound products.
This endorsement serves as a trusted benchmark for sustainability, counteracting concerns over greenwashing.
PAC also launched a stock program for its Polyjacket flat mailers, featuring 50% certified recycled content, including 45% post-consumer recycled (PCR) material.
This initiative is part of PAC’s larger goal to ensure all flexible packaging products are recyclable, reusable, or compostable by 2025.
Other offerings, such as Polyjacket mailers with up to 87% recycled content and Airjacket bubble mailers, have also received SCS Global certification, providing brands with diverse eco-friendly options.
In addition to its product line, PAC educates businesses and consumers on the environmental impacts of packaging materials, addressing aspects like greenhouse gas emissions and water usage.
“We work with knowledgeable buyers who ask important questions about material sourcing and the manufacturing process,” added Parenteau.
“Our new poly mailer program is designed to address these complexities and support consumer education on sustainability.”
PAC Worldwide’s continued advancements underscore its role in leading the packaging industry toward a greener, more sustainable future.
