FRANCE – French spirit giant, Pernod Ricard in partnership with Vessl has revealed an innovative new bottle that mixes cocktails with a simple twist of a cap.
Using a new technology, twisting the cap creates an instant batch of cocktails in the moment. Unlike other ready-to-serve cocktails, The Glenlivet Twist & Mix cap keeps its signature Single Malt Scotch Whisky separate from the natural cocktail flavorings until the consumer is ready to drink it.
The collection is debuting with the Old Fashioned and New Manhattan, bringing the two most popular whisky cocktails served in restaurants to consumers’ homes.
The cocktails will be ready-to-serve with three steps: twist the cap, watch it mix, and pour over ice.
The Glenlivet hopes that this process will help consumers to avoid the hassle of leftover ingredients, complex recipes and bar equipment.
Johan Radojewski, Vice President Marketing for Scotch, Irish & Prestige Whisk(e)y at Pernod Ricard USA, says: “With this new innovative product, we are inspiring people to enjoy single malt scotch whisky on more occasions and providing a solution to meet consumer demand for high quality, freshly mixed cocktails that are easy to serve and enjoy with friends and family.”
The innovative twist cap in The Glenlivet Twist & Mix uses Vessl’s patented closure and delivery technology while being housed in packaging designed by JDO.
Walter D. Apodaca, Jr., Founder and CEO, Vessl, Inc added: “We are impressed how The Glenlivet has adopted the Vessl technology to create high quality, freshly mixed ultra-premium craft cocktails at home with no mess and no effort.
“This is exactly the kind of forward-thinking use of our technology that we envisioned, and tastes even better than we imagined.”
Big Fish rebrands Bambino Mio reusable nappy packs with cuts to plastic
In another development, Bambino Mio, the world’s leading reusable nappy brand, has partnered with design agency Big Fish for a new identity that “empowers parents and tackles the climate crisis head-on”.
The new packs achieved 69% reduction in plastic in core nappy SKUs, 54% plastic reduction overall on products with new packaging, all plastic is made from recycled plastic and is recyclable, and efficient packing and modular design led to a 77% reduction in small bundles and 62% reduction in large bundles.
The rebranded design injects a pop of colour into a sea of neutral nappies, embracing a child-like feel.
The rebrand employs bold and stamp-like font, complemented by a scribble-like custom font called Little Rebel.
A vibrant and brilliant colour palette dominated by powerful purple, blue, yellow, and white, alongside secondary colours like sky blue, apple green, and carrot orange, completes the visual transformation.
Joreen Singh, marketing & innovation director at Bambino Mio, said: “Big Fish is helping us spark a much-needed reusable revolution, making sustainability the convenient choice for parents.
“Nappies are an essential part of the reusable conversation, and we want to enable more people to reject disposable nappies and be part of the single-use plastic conversation.”
