The acquisition enhances Print ePS’ ability to meet growing global demand for connected, scalable, and cloud-enabled print MIS platforms.

CANADA – Print ePS, the print operating unit of eProductivity Software, has expanded its global footprint with the acquisition of Canadian print MIS provider Avanti Systems from Ricoh.
The deal, finalized on 2 June, reinforces Print ePS’s strategic focus on the midmarket print segment and strengthens its portfolio of automation and workflow technologies.
Based in Toronto, Avanti Systems offers management information system (MIS) workflow automation tailored for mid-sized and large commercial printers.
The company supports hundreds of customers across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
Print ePS said the acquisition enhances its ability to meet growing global demand for connected, scalable, and cloud-enabled print MIS platforms.
The company’s suite of AI-powered, cloud-based tools already includes intelligent estimating, scheduling, and data-driven workflow optimization designed to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and boost profitability for print operations.
By integrating Avanti’s capabilities, Print ePS aims to deliver expanded value to its customers while accelerating innovation in MIS technologies.
All 45 Avanti staff will transition to Print ePS as part of the deal, with no changes anticipated to their current work locations.
“We are thrilled to welcome Avanti customers and employees to the Print ePS family,” said Dan Vertachnik, CEO of Print ePS.
“We remain committed to supporting Avanti’s customers with the same high level of service and professionalism they expect, while also providing access to Print ePS’ extensive product portfolio, global expertise, and continued innovation in cloud-based MIS solutions.”
According to Print ePS, Avanti’s team will play a key role in advancing the company’s cloud offerings and driving future growth initiatives.
The acquisition also reflects the continued evolution of Print ePS’s long-term relationship with Ricoh.
“This opportunity grew organically from our longstanding, successful partnership with Ricoh,” a Print ePS spokesperson told Printweek.
“We intend to continue nurturing that partnership, while also exploring further acquisitions and strategic alliances that enhance our technologies and market reach.”
Koji Miyao, President of Ricoh’s Graphic Communications Business Unit, noted, “This transaction strengthens Ricoh’s partnership with Print ePS and supports our commitment to accelerating customers’ shift from offset to digital printing by concentrating resources on world-class production print solutions.”
For now, Avanti will operate under the name “Avanti, a Print ePS Company”, with no immediate plans for a full rebrand.
