Sojo Industries opens advanced packaging facility in Pennsylvania

The new facility features four packaging lines alongside advanced robotics infrastructure.

USA – Sojo Industries has unveiled a state-of-the-art, 215,000-square-foot production facility in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.

Located near the company’s Bristol headquarters, the facility is already operational and expected to be fully functional by year-end, tripling Sojo’s footprint in the state and enhancing its national production capabilities.

According to Sojo Industries, the facility is designed to meet the rising demand for customized consumer goods by streamlining complex, stock-keeping unit-rich variety pack production.

Equipped with four advanced packaging lines and cutting-edge robotics infrastructure, the site supports high-speed, multi-format production and the assembly of Sojo Flight rovers, portable manufacturing lines that can be deployed and operational within an hour.

This innovation enables rapid, on-site production for clients, replacing outdated, fragmented repackaging processes.

In a statement, Sojo’s founder and CEO, Barak Bar-Cohen, emphasized the facility’s role in addressing modern supply chain challenges.

“Today’s market demands agility and efficiency,” Bar-Cohen said. “Our Langhorne facility empowers us to deliver faster turnaround times, reduced freight and labor costs, and greater operational flexibility, ensuring our clients can scale in real time.”

He highlighted Pennsylvania’s strategic location, robust supply chain infrastructure, and skilled workforce as key drivers of the company’s decision to expand there.

The facility, featuring over 30 dock doors and expansive floor space, is tailored to serve Fortune 500 companies, fast-growing brands, co-manufacturers, and national distributors.

By prioritizing speed, cost efficiency, and flexibility, Sojo aims to set a new standard in sustainable packaging solutions.

The company’s modular robotics systems are engineered to minimize transportation costs and enhance production efficiency, aligning with industry trends toward sustainability and innovation.

To support this expansion, Sojo plans to create approximately 20 new jobs in assembly, shipping, and automation technician roles.

This hiring initiative follows a recent US$40 million investment from S2G Investments, which is fueling the company’s nationwide growth and development of advanced automation and modular packaging solutions.

A report by industry sources indicates that Sojo’s innovations, such as the Sojo Flight system and the blockchain-based Sojo Shield platform, have already saved over 5 million freight miles, reducing emissions and operational inefficiencies.

Recent updates confirm Sojo’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, with plans to further integrate its track-and-trace software to provide real-time supply chain insights, reinforcing its leadership in the food and beverage packaging sector.
