ABG unveils Flex Pack Division with Galaxy Packtech partnership

Converters can now source coating, lamination, and pouch production equipment from a single supplier.

UK – A B Graphic International (ABG), a prominent manufacturer of finishing equipment, has introduced its new division, ABG Flex Pack.

The initiative integrates the company’s long-standing capabilities in lamination and finishing to offer complete solutions for the flexible packaging sector.

With installations of thermal laminators, pouch finishing systems like the Digicon 3000, and shrink sleeve machines across global markets, ABG now channels these assets into a focused unit.

The division targets the expanding flexibles market by combining equipment for coating, lamination, pouch production, and additional processes under one roof.

A key element of ABG Flex Pack is the rollout of the ThermoLam, a new compact thermal laminator.

This model features improved ergonomics, front-access roll handling, and a reduced footprint for enhanced operational efficiency.

In parallel, ABG has formed an exclusive partnership with Galaxy Packtech, a family-owned firm with 24 years in the industry, more than 1,500 worldwide installations, and a team of 100 specialists.

Galaxy Packtech specializes in modular pouch and bag-making machines that deliver high performance in demanding environments while maintaining user-friendly and cost-effective designs.

Through this collaboration, ABG gains rights to distribute and service Galaxy’s equipment in Europe (including the UK and Ireland), the Americas, Australasia, Japan, and Israel.

The partnership enables converters to access reliable technology for market diversification.

Gaurav Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer at Galaxy Packtech, stated that the alliance stems from ABG’s strong reputation in innovation and service.

He noted that both companies, as family-run operations, share common values and objectives, allowing them to provide converters with Galaxy’s technical strengths alongside ABG’s global reach and full-service capabilities.

Matt Burton, ABG’s global sales director, explained that converters can now obtain an integrated solution from a single supplier, covering everything from lamination to pouch creation.

He highlighted how the ThermoLam, paired with Galaxy’s systems and upcoming enhancements slated for later this year, equips users with greater efficiency and options in a fast-evolving industry.

In a related development, Charter Next Generation (CNG) and NOVA Chemicals initiated a collaboration on September 10, 2025, to commercialize recycled polyethylene (rPE) for advanced applications.

The partnership utilizes NOVA’s new Indiana facility, producing over 110 million pounds of rPE annually, for uses like cereal bags and shrink films.

Eric Smith, CNG’s Chief Procurement Officer, indicated that this effort supplies regionally sourced materials to fulfill growing demands for post-consumer recycled content in packaging.
