the company has pledged to fund removal of 20,000 kilograms of plastic waste from the environment in 2025.

GLOBAL – Smart home technology brand EZVIZ has expanded its Green Initiative through a new global partnership with Plastic Bank, an international social fintech dedicated to reducing plastic waste and improving livelihoods.
The collaboration, announced under the banner “Together for Change, Bottle by Bottle”, builds on EZVIZ’s earlier commitments around World Environment Day and connects long-term sustainability goals with immediate efforts to curb plastic pollution.
In 2025, EZVIZ has pledged to fund the removal of 20,000 kilograms of plastic waste, equivalent to one million plastic bottles, from the environment.
The project will benefit 29 communities across Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa, where local waste collectors will be empowered through Plastic Bank’s circular economy model.
The initiative not only addresses plastic pollution but also creates economic opportunities by converting discarded plastics into resources that can be reintegrated into production cycles.
“With EZVIZ, we’re proving that every action, no matter how small, can ripple outward to protect the environment and uplift communities,” said David Katz, CEO and Founder of Plastic Bank.
“Our collective action is enabling a future where people and the planet prosper together.”
EZVIZ, best known for its smart security and lifestyle products, has embedded eco-conscious values across its product lifecycle.
In 2024, the company prevented 22.3 tons of plastic waste by adopting recycled materials in its robot vacuum portfolio.
Its EB3 battery camera illustrates this philosophy further, operating with solar power to reduce energy use by up to 80%, while being 80% recyclable and packaged in 100% recyclable materials.
Packaging innovation has been another focus area. By replacing bubble wrap with paper-based and recycled materials, EZVIZ now eliminates over one million plastic bags per month.
Additional measures such as switching from printed labels to laser etching helped save 1.573 tons of paper in 2024.
“Our approach is holistic: creating products and partnerships that make a real difference,” said Sophie Zhang, Global Brand Director at EZVIZ.
“We believe in plastic reduction that’s people-centered, tech-enabled, and globally scaled.”
The partnership underscores a wider industry trend, as electronics and consumer goods companies increasingly align with global sustainability agendas.
According to the OECD, only 9% of plastic waste is recycled worldwide, while the majority ends up incinerated or in landfills.
Collaborations like EZVIZ and Plastic Bank’s represent a growing push toward shared responsibility and circular design in addressing the plastics crisis.
